Above the Clouds

Hello and welcome to another Stamping Around the World blog hop. Once again, a group of us is getting together and bringing you even more projects in addition to this month Tutorial Bundle.

While my project in this month bundle is more involved I decided to make a simple however versatile card.
It can be used for so many occasions - farewells, graduates, travels even wedding or honeymoon. By switching colours of the background card stock as well we the balloons images you can make it more feminine or masculine. Or gender neutral. And the beauty is it is an easy card to replicate.

Measurements: It is easy to cut as all the layers are designed to create 2mm or 1/16" border. So each card stock is 4mm or 1/8" less than the previous one.

Card base - 21 cm x 14.8 cm, scored at 10.5 cm on the longer side
                  8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" on the longer side
Terracotta panel - 14.4 cm x 10.1 cm
                                    4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
White panel - 14 cm x 9.7 cm
                     4" x 5 1/4"

Tip:
To create a sky-like background I used a blue ink pad and aqua painter (you can use just a wet brush). In the past I'd press on the ink pad when closed and then when you open it there is an ink residue on the lid. I no longer do that as I noticed the pressing is pushing ink into the corners and my middle of the pad is dryer than the rest. So now I stamp the pad on a clear box and pick up the ink from there. My pads are happier for it. When you are done, just wipe the block with simply shammy to clean it.

Do you feel inspired by my project? I hope so. If you have a go at it and you share on your social media, tag #craftingwithangels so I can see your awesome versions. So get your supplies out and craft!
