Little Twinkle Hanging Stars

Hello and welcome to the May edition of Stamping Around the World blog hop. This hop is a fun addition to the monthly tutorial bundle. We all are using the same products we used when creating a project for the tutorials.

In my tutorial, I used Little Twinkle stamp set and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and today I created this card.

It's a very simple design. With the rectangle dies I cut out the frame that is on two layers of dimensionals so the stars can easily dangle around. The moon is glued on the dimensional dot.
If you will give a go to try this card, just remember to stick the thread on the frame before you put dimensionals on. I didn't and was cutting through the dots later. If it would be glued on the top of the dimensional dots than it wouldn't hang in the same way. It would be too close to the background.

Enjoy the rest of the blog hop. Just click on the next arrow to see a project of talented friend Linda. If you choose the previous arrow you will be taken to gifted Lori Mueller. Alternatively, just choose any other demonstrator from the roll call, if you wish.

Dear Doily Naming Day Card

Last month I visited my family. We had a beautiful excuse - a baby's naming day. You can guess from the photo, the baby's name is Vanessa. I bought for her Vanessa Bell rose bush (the rose is named after Virginia Woolf's sister, just in case you are wondering). I hope Vanessa will admire this plant as she will grow.

Oh, I am not ready for the Dear Doily to be retired and gone!
Back in February, the very talented Emma Goddard/Coastal Crafter made a beautiful card and I CASEd (CopyAndSelectivelyEdit) it to my needs. This is the result. What do you think?

It's a Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green combination complimented with embossing paste and dazzling diamond glitter and finished off with silver foil sheet cutouts.

I made the doily with Doily Builder dies. It's cut from shimmery white paper and it's coloured with an aqua paint dipped in ink. When dried it was run through the big shot with the subtle embossing folder. This gave the doily a beautiful texture and it flattened it perfectly.

The background on the original card made by Emma was created with shimmery white embossing paste. I don't have it so I used just white paste and while still wet I sprinkled it with some glitter. The template for the paste application was cut with the dies as well.

Dear Doily Builder dies together with a corresponding set are retiring and won't be available in the new catalogue that is coming out in June. So if you love it, grab it now. Either from the shopping list links a bit lower down in this post or click this image to check all the retiring product.

Check out the post of other crafters showing off their beautiful designs. Just choose anyone from this list:
