Healing Hugs - Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome, perhaps again, to Stamp 'N Hop blog hop. Every month a group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from all around the globe are getting together and working on the same theme projects. This month theme is CASEing the annual Stampin' Up! catalogue.

CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit. It means you can replicate a project you like or you can copy just an element of it and put your own twist on it. In any case, always credit appropriately the source of your inspiration.

I've chosen to CASE a card I saw in the annual catalogue on the top of the page number 110 that features the Healing Hugs stamp set found on the same page. Healing Hugs is a beautiful set that has a couple of distINKtive stamps. These stamps lay down the ink at different opacities giving the finished image more depth.

I used a different colour for the main image and changed the orientation of the card. I also used more leaves and instead of sequins, I decorated the card with glitter enamel dots.

This is a quick and simple card. To simplify it even further the heat embossing can be replaced by just stamping so even if you don't have a heat gun and an embossing powder you can still have a go at making this gorgeous project.

Santa's Workshop Advent Tree Calendar - Let's Get Hopping, Round #15

Welcome to the 15th round of the Let's get Hopping blog hop. This month theme is Christmas, Anything but a Card.

Some time ago I saw an advent calendar made from little boxes, arranged into the shape of a Christmas tree, on YouTube. And when I saw the Santa's Workshop Suite in the Stampin' Up!® seasonal catalogue I knew what my project for this blog hop would be.

This advent calendar was so much fun to create. Twenty-six little boxes piled up on each other, decorated with fussy scissored images. Here is a template to make one of the boxes. You need cardstock measuring 5 7/8" and 7 1/2". On the short side score at 3/4", 2 1/4", 3 3/4" and 5 1/4". On the long side  score at 1 1/2", 3", 4 1/2" and 6".

I stuck decorative paper on the sides and white cardstock on the front of each box. You can decorate it with whatever you like. I used items from Santa's workshop Suite. All the item are listed below. I made a little video to show you how it was all put together. Enjoy!

List of products I used to create this calendar:

I hope my project inspired you to, maybe, create your own advent calendar tree or something similar. If it did, leave me a message in the comment section to let me know.
And now, continue to hop through all the blogs. Click on the image below to see what the talented Eimear Carvill prepared.
