A Set of Cards - Let's Get Hopping, Round #9

Hello and welcome to another Hop Blog. Whether you've arrived here from Jenn Frost's blog already or just started at mine I hope you will enjoy this month's theme - a set of cards that compliment each other. To see all the blogs and get inspired by a group of stamping enthusiasts, like me, just click on the big arrow at the bottom of each post. Have fun!

I want to give you a sneak preview of some brand new goodies that will be available to everyone to purchase from the new catalogue from June 1.

Blueberry Bushel
Grapefruit Grove
Call Me Clover
Pineapple Punch
Lovely Lipstick

For the main theme, I used a beautiful floral set called In Every Season and brand new 2018-2020 In Colours. Don't you just like their names? I sure do. The sentiment is from Tabs for Everything set, which is not new but you still will be able to find it in the new catalogue.

The images are stamped in Versamark and embossed with a black powder.
I coloured the flowers using the ink pads and aqua painters. When you press the top of the pad it will leave an ink residue on the plastic cover. You can then pick it up with an aqua painter (or a wet brush) and colour your stamped images. And because the images are embossed they are super easy to colour. The embossing makes nice raised edges and I didn't have to worry about smudging anything.

By the way, have you noticed the new ink pads? The Stampin' Up! ink pads are now stackable! And that is not the only change to the ink pad case design. Even the opening mechanism is now, in my opinion, greatly improved.
Come to one of my classes to see it all in person! Next gathering is in May. Send me a message, if interested, and I will send more details.

And that is my take on A Set of Cards challenge. If you like my post, leave me a comment to let me know. Click on the arrow below to continue hopping on this blog. It will take you to Tracy Bish's post. Enjoy the rest of the blog hop.

  6. Great cards Eva, I love how you have used the new in-colors but so soft and subtle, I look at those colours and think vibrant and bright, so thank you for showing me them in a different light.
