Recently, I was inspired by a fellow demonstrator's (Stamp in Colour with Eimear) card and decided to share it with my stampers. I tweaked it a little bit and we made these. They're made with one of my favourite bundle called Magical Day. It is retiring (I know! I can't believe it either).
The second card looks very easy peasy but took the longest time. First we had time colouring the floral paper and then created a shiny glass effect by embossing the whole piece several times with a clear embossing powder. Do you see the little cracks on the detailed photo? After we created the glass effect, we put the paper in the freezer for 15 minutes and then we gently cracked in in few places.
The shaker card was something I've never tried before and I don't understand what I was afraid of. It is such a wow card and yet quite quick to make. This design is not my idea. I borrowed if from Papercraft by Jennifer Frost. It uses a very versatile Tabs for Everything set. I stamped the front of the cards with the ink matching the cardstock but versamark would leave the same effect.
